CW and Warner Bros. Television's Live-Action Powerpuff Girls Series Begins Filming!

As you may know CW have an up and coming live-action Powerpuff Girls series coming soon. Being produced by Warner Brothers Television, the series was developed back in August and filming started Tuesday 23rd March 2021. The new adaptation follows the Cartoon Network series created by Craig McCracken. "The pint-sized superheroes are disillusioned twenty somethings who resent having lost their childhood to crime fighting. Will they agree to reunite now that the world needs them more than ever?"

The casting for this show was announced with Dove Cameron as Bubbles, Chloe Bennet as Blossom and Yana Perrault as Buttercup. The cast have been sharing a few post recently as filming for the show begins.

Dove Cameron gets ready to take on the role, with her hair in pigtails, wearing Bubbles' signature blue, and a Bubbles sweater. Dove also tweeted a countdown until filming, for her followers to be updated.

As a fan of the original cartoon of The Powerpuff Girls, I'm very excited to see how this series turns out, and I think the casting is great.
